Premium Wakesurfing: Ride the Endless Wave at Konnos Bay
Children's with parental consent and confident in deep water.
A Coast Guard-approved impact vest (life jacket) must be worn at all times
Because wakesurfing happens just a few meters from the back of the boat, the Axis Pro utilizes an inboard motor (the propeller is safely tucked underneath the hull, not sticking out the back). However, to maintain wave shape and safety, nothing can be dragged behind the boat other than the surfer.
Wakesurfing is the ultimate fusion of ocean surfing and boat-towed watersports. Unlike wakeboarding, where you are continuously pulled by a rope at high speeds, wakesurfing allows you to drop the rope entirely and surf the boat’s generated wave using only the power of the water.
At Mike’s Watersports, we operate the state-of-the-art Axis Pro Wake Boat. Standard speedboats cannot create a surfable wave. The Axis Pro is specifically engineered with a heavy internal ballast system (water tanks inside the hull) and advanced “Surf Gate” technology. This displaces massive amounts of water, creating a clean, waist-high, endless wave on either the left or right side of the boat, perfectly tailored to your stance.
Because wakesurfing requires specialized, high-fuel-consuming inboard boats, it is a premium experience. We offer tiered pricing for the 2026 season to accommodate quick thrill-seekers and serious riders looking to master new tricks.
Pro Tip : Wakesurfing is incredibly low-impact compared to wakeboarding. The boat only travels at about 16 to 18 km/h (compared to 30+ km/h for wakeboarding). Because you are so close to the boat and moving relatively slowly, falling off a wakesurf board feels like sinking into a soft pillow of water. It is excellent for older adults or those with sensitive knees!
How much does it cost to wakesurf in Protaras? Wakesurfing behind a specialized Axis Pro Boat at Mike’s Watersports in Konnos Bay costs €70 for 15 minutes, €80 for 20 minutes, €130 for 30 minutes, and €240 for a full 60-minute session. These sessions include professional wakesurf boards, safety equipment, and an experienced boat captain who utilizes the boat’s internal ballast system to shape the perfect, continuous wave for your skill level.
